The Navy is a great training school for the vouth of the Nation,
wherein useful trades and occupations are taught in connection with
the exclusively Naval and Military instructions given.
The present War gives Americans an insight into the need of
keeping the Naval Service fully manned, and it is hoped that the
publication of this volume may, in some small way, bring home to
Americans the imperative necessity that confronts us of keeping
our Navy and Marine Corps recruited to its full and authorized
strength.
No man is too good to serve his country by enlistment in the
Navv or Marine Corps.
